MOUNT PLEASANT – A SEAMLESS BLEND OF ART AND ARCHITECTURE

At Leading Edge, we understand that signage is more than just a navigation tool – it’s a vital element of the built environment. So when McAleer & Rushe approached us to design the Mount Pleasant wayfinding signage for their landmark central London development, we saw it as an opportunity to create something truly extraordinary.

Three newly constructed luxury accommodation blocks form the heart of this modern, elegant space. Our challenge? To craft a signage system that reflected the development’s architectural quality, integrated seamlessly with interiors, and enhanced the user journey – all while aligning with a refined brand identity.

A WAYFINDING STRATEGY THAT BLENDS FORM AND FUNCTION

Working closely with the architects and design team, our goal was to create a signage solution that not only looked beautiful but also enhanced clarity and usability throughout the development.

What We Delivered

Laser-Cut Perspex Lettering

Used for internal directional and identifier signs, the clean lines and modern finish of the laser-cut lettering added a contemporary touch while complementing the geometry of the space.

Brushed Stainless Steel Plaques

Tactile and durable, these plaques provided a premium finish that supported both longevity and style – a perfect match for the luxury surroundings.

Architectural Integration

Signage was designed to sit naturally within its setting. We considered everything – colour palette, finish, and placement – ensuring harmony with materials like glass, stone, and timber used throughout the development.

THE RESULT: A SIGNAGE SCHEME THAT SPEAKS IN WHISPERS, NOT SHOUTS

Rather than overpowering the architecture, the Mount Pleasant wayfinding signage system whispers with elegance. From lobbies to corridors, each sign subtly guides the way, enhancing the user experience without distracting from the space.

This project reflects our approach at Leading Edge – where signage, branding, and architecture come together to create clarity, beauty, and cohesion in the built environment.

At Leading Edge, we do more than deliver signs – we help brands speak louder, bolder, and brighter.
