AT LEADING EDGE, we want every job to look its best and arrive on time. Following these guidelines helps us avoid delays, keep lead times short and get your graphics right first time. Artwork that doesn’t meet them will be returned to you for correction, which may affect your delivery date. We’ll send you a PDF proof to approve before anything goes to print; artwork received less than 48 hours before delivery may be printed without a proof. To avoid delays, please send us your artwork in the following format:

Please send

  • Print-ready PDF (PDF/X-4 or PDF/X-1a preferred)
  • Artwork at full size, or clearly tell us if it is supplied at a reduced scale (e.g. 1:4).
  • Text converted to outlines
  • Images embedded in the PDF
  • Artwork supplied in CMYK
  • Include the correct bleed for your product (see below)
  • Keep important text and logos away from the edges
  • Please supply high-resolution artwork suitable for large-format printing
  • Wherever possible, supply logos as vector files

Please don't send

  • Word, Excel or PowerPoint files
  • Low-resolution JPGs, PNGs or GIFs
  • Screenshots or images downloaded from
  • Compressed or low-quality PDFs
  • Canva files/links – please export as PDF Print

Important when sending artwork

  • Include your name/company, job reference and finished artwork size.
  • For files over 20MB, use WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive and email us the link.
  • Tell us when ordering if the job needs cutting to shape, white ink, double-sided printing, hems or eyelets.

Proof approval

We’ll send you a PDF proof to approve before production. Please check it carefully; once approved, responsibility for any errors passes to you.
