PREMIER QUEEN STREET, SHEFFIELD – URBAN VISIBILITY, ELEVATED

When Premier, one of the UK’s leading convenience retail brands, opened their Queen Street store in Sheffield, they needed more than just basic signage. In a visually dense urban setting at the base of a modern high-rise, standout retail convenience store signage was essential to ensure visibility, clarity, and lasting brand impact for both city workers and local residents.

At Leading Edge, we delivered a complete signage solution tailored for city-centre retail. Our goal was to increase footfall, amplify brand identity, and transform the space into a vibrant, modern retail destination.

This project called for more than standard branding. We set out to create a high-visibility signage strategy that engages customers at street level and from a distance, while communicating key offerings and elevating the in-store experience.

What We Delivered

3D Built-Up Fascia Signage

Large, internally illuminated white “Premier” letters mounted on the brick façade ensure round-the-clock visibility. These 3D elements bring depth and professionalism to the storefront.

Projecting Blade Signs

Double-sided vertical blade signs featuring the Premier logo were installed to boost visibility from multiple angles. Ideal for capturing attention from both pedestrians and passing vehicles.

Window Vinyls and Product Imagery

We introduced oversized, high-resolution window graphics that highlight popular in-store offerings such as chilled drinks, food-to-go, and snacks. Branded messaging like “Hot & Cold Food To Go” drives engagement and encourages impulse purchases.

The Beer Cave @ Premier

To add character and differentiation, we created a sub-brand identity around the store’s alcohol section. “The Beer Cave” uses custom graphics to enhance intrigue and invite customers in.

Interior Branding and Graphics

Inside the store, faux brick vinyls and striped wood textures create a rustic-meets-modern look. Backlit internal headers and contrasting colour palettes reinforce key services while improving wayfinding.
